connecting wireless device and email

Hello, I will soon be adding a wireless router to my desktop PC for a new laptop or tablet. Here is my question, and is this correct? When I check email now, it gets downloaded from my servers web mail box into my PC's in box. If I download the mail into the wireless device, how do I transfer the messages to the desktop? I would like a copy of each email on both devices. Thanks for the help, D
 
In your email program options, you will need to find the setting where it says to leave mail on server and check it.
 
If you always want the emails on the desktop PC, set them up on the laptop/tablet but leave a copy of the messages on the server for XX days (as John says).

Then, if you check emails on the laptop/tablet first they will download to it then, when you check them on the PC they will also download on there.

If you check the PC first, the emails will download to the PC but NOT to the laptop/tablet.

This is how I used to have mine setup at home.
