Connection fails when under use

I have been having an issue with my wireless home network. Everytime that I do any downloading or printing via the network, it will not allow access to the internet on any of my computers while the downloading or printing is activie. What is the cause for this and is it normal? Is there a fix?

Something with your network card perhaps? No its not normal at all. So it doesn't cut out if you just browse? Maybe a bad port on the router? Are using a wired or wireless connection?

my computer in my sig is wired, all other laptops in the house are wireless. Example of what happens:

Printed off the desktop to a wireless printer... (was a large file that took about 5 mins)

While printing, anytime you try to open up a browser, it will not connect. As soon as the printing is done, you can surf the internet with no problems.

Also does this when downloading any content such as game updates.

We can have all the computers just accessing the internet at the same time but if anyone trys to download and major content or print, it keeps others from having a connection.

I would say its a port problem on the router or the router itself. Try using a different port on the router.

Well, It started again last night but I noticed something different. My browser that I am using is Google Chrome. When I switched to Firefox or IE for some reason I could access the net again.

Is there a setting in Google Chrome that sets priority or something?

Is Google Chrome just not a good browser?

I'd give it a factory reset and update the firmware. If it still happens see if a replacement has the same problem.
