It does have a switch in the front to on and off the wifi even when I turn it on it still will not connect to the internet please help

If the drivers are installed go into the bios (F2 I believe) when you boot up and if some how it was turned off there you will need to go in there to get it to work.

still

what drivers do you recommend and how to i get them to the laptop because the usb port wont work when i hook up my zip drive

What do you mean by they won't take to the hardware? Typically you download the drivers, browse to where you saved them, double click on them and they will install themselves. If that doesn't work, then you right click on My computer (from the start menu), click properties, click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager. Once the list populates, select Network Adapters (click the plus sign to expand it), then select device for your LAN (right click it). You can then select "update driver" and your computer should try to update the driver by looking for newer version. You might have to browse to where you downloaded this new driver, if it doesn't find it automatically.

as you laptop wont connect to the net and the USB ports dont work, download the drivers on another computer and burn them to a cd, put the CD in the laptop and run them from there.

the LAN drivers are here if you dont have them already.
