i am about to purchase a 3.5'' Internal USB 3.0 Hub All In One Card Reader ESATA Multi-Function Combo Box. Can someone please explain to me how to connect this to my motherboard. It has a sata and a usb cable. My mother board is intel dual core i5 thanks in advance.

Well we need to know the exact motherboard model if you want more specific advice. However, there should be a set of pins on the motherboard that the USB header plugs into - it should say USB somewhere near it (IIRC it's like a 5x2 grid of pins with one pin missing from the bottom corner). As for SATA, AFAIK all the SATA ports are physically identical, but one of the SATA ports on the motherboard might be specifically labeled as E-SATA (it is on my motherboard anyway) - you'll want to use that. If it doesn't have an e-SATA port you'll just have to pick one of the normal ones, though it's not guaranteed to work (I think e-SATA has stricter power requirements to allow for longer cables or something like that).
