Conserving Space.

I want to take multiple DVDs and put them into one DVD to save space.

However I have one question that needs to be answered before I waste everyone's time with the follow ups.

Back in the day I was doing DVDs and they were not playing in the DVD player. Only the computer. They were DVDs I burned myself business DVDs. I went to best buy talked to the guru's etc... no one had a solution.

Is the DVD technology the same today - can I burn DVDs with my 2 year old dell vostro that will play in my DVD player on my TV?

thanks...

It depends on the format of the video, and how you burned the disc.

If the video is in an unsupported format, it won't work, if you just copy it over it (generally) won't work. You need to burn it as a video, not just copy it over. If you just copy it, it is a file, which your DVD player can't read, rather than a playable DVD, which your DVD player can

Is there a recommended software to keep the format supportable for DVD players?
