Console Hookup

hello i am 5 minutes old to these forums, and i registered so i can ask this question

How exactly can i hookup my ps2 to my monitor/PC if possible. my specs

Dell Dimension 5150
2GB ram
Evga Geforce 7600 Gt
Pentium D 3Ghz

my comp came with a x600, and my 7600 came with a few cables. Not sure what there called, ill just describe them. One Cable has 4 plugs on one side, black/green/red/navy blue, and the other end is black. Another Is almost like the first one, except both ends have 1 black plug. the last one is a little grey piece that has a grey slot that converts into a small blue one<i have one of these hooked up to my 7600 gt, this ones extra.

Do these extra plugs have to do anything with hooking up a ps2? Do i need a tv tuner card? What price range am i looking at (CDN)?

keep in mind i am a complete non-computer whiz, the most complex thing i did with a comp is install ram and a pci-e card.

If your video card has VIVO, then you can hook up the PS2's yellow RCA plug onto the RCA-in of your video card, then hook up the yellow and white RCA jacks onto the line-in jack on your sound card (you'll need a RCA to 3.5mm jack converter).

The best option would probably be to get one of those RCA to VGA converters. Many capture cards have a slight buffer lag and the quality isn't terrific in console games. I'd imagine one of these external tuners would be best, but you couldn't capture video or anything if you wanted to.
