continues beep

i went away from my computer to go downstairs and when i came back i moved my mouse and my computer made a continues beep sound all i could do was restart the computer any help much appreciated
 
...So does it restart back to normal? Are your plugs plugged in all the way in the back? Some machines will do that when it looses connection. I remember hearing that on a KVM switching back and forth.
 
I've had some machines do that when they locked up. Usally it's nothing serious, especially if it still worked after you rebooted.

Check your software, see if anything could of locked you up. Spyware and such, or any other programs running in the background...
 
MY comp does that sometimes. Its not the mouse, its as soon as there is input (keyboard, optical drives, usb, etc.)
I have no idea what it is...all i do is reboot.
