Continuous unwanted scrolling SONY VAIO

Hi Guys;

I have a Sony Vaio laptop, which is constantly scrolling, as if the up-arrow key is locked down. But of course I have checked that, even removed all keys from keyboard to see if any were stuck down. It happens continually - so much so that I cannot do anything (even writing this thread) without my computer scrolling me to the top of the page all the time.

It scrolls everything - not just when writing documents, but on internet pages, programs, even selection windows like file Properties boxes.

Any ideas if this is a virus or a software problem - & how on earth can I fix it??

i dont know but i know on most laptops on the very far right side of navigation pad you can use to scroll up/down, maybe somethings got the nav pad pushed down on the edge? just somthing else to check...
