Okay so, On amazon the BenQ GW2270H is reduced from £150 to £80 and I'm about to order it because I need a new monitor. The thing I don't get is contrast ratio I have looked on many different sites it all says different things. If anyone could tell me the real contrast ratio and wether or not you need a high one for gaming. Thanks

You are probably seeing dynamic vs static contrast. Dynamic contrast is total BS and you should ignore it. Avg monitor contrast is about 1000:1 which is fine for gaming.
