Control (Ctrl) key whacked out

As we all know, you should be able to, while holding down the control key and using your mouse, be able to select multiple items in a drop down window.

Well, not for me....

When I hold down the Ctrl key and use my mouse to click on something, it opens up a new window.

Any suggestions? If you DON'T have any fixes, do you know of another way that I can select multiple items without using the Ctrl key (I'd rather fix this though)?

Thanks a bunch,
Chad

You could hold down the mouse button and highlight the things you want selected. I am not sure what your ctrl+ button problem is, maybe you have settings on your computer. You could go into help and support on your computer that is really helpful.

This sounds like perhaps your keyboard was mapped incorrectly, I dont know how to change it back to normal settings, but give it a moment and someone will come on with the answer.

The other thing Im thinking is its just your browser, does it only happen on the internet? Or do ALL programs.

Third option would be (if your mouse supports it) to map the ctrl key to like the side button on your mouse (if you have a side button) or something of that sort :).

Oh just had a though, is your keyboard USB or not?
