controlling ports on dhcp ranges

Does anyone here know of a program with wich you can open and close ports based on ip's or more preferably ip ranges.

I've got a pc set up as a router (windows 2003 using ras) but i don't have the options i like for closing and opening ports on different ip's/pc's.

nvm i found it.
comodo can control ports based on ip ranges, zones, host names
really nice program called comodo. Very good firewall.

Or, get managed switches where you can set up VLANs, then say this IP range on this VLAN gets this, and the others get this.

yea but it's only something for a local computershop...
they don't really want to spend money on it :P
just want a way to filter internet traffic for the pc's they get in there for repairs
90% of them is full of crap and half of them are spambots...

Get a decent Linksys or Buffalo router (cost approx $50USD) and load third party firmware on them from www.dd-wrt.com and it will give them a lot of advanced features, like VLANs, QoS, Firewalls, advanced DHCP settings, etc.

was also an option yes, but then he'd still have to buy something :P
he also needed an exchange server, some file storage, ftp, vpn, wsus server (impossible without using a domain i discovered).

Also this was is a school project for me. I needed some grades for designing and implementing exchange into his environment. So i'm not going to tell him that he would be better of leaving his mail where it is (he outsourced it together with his website) and that if he wanted a fileserver he could better do it at the same place he got his mail server and web server. After that he could just get a router you mentioned.

but then again... if i told him this... i wouldn't get my grades :P
so i made this totally ridiculous server for him

when designing something like that for a business cost should not be the top factor, after all you need to spend money to make money. However, you now know hands on the licensing issues and costs with Microsoft products. An alternative for them is to spend a small amount of money and use open source products. However, they can't call any complain to anyone when the technology doesn't work

i know but you need to know i'm dutch, people here are usually el cheapo :P.
and i had to use something that he would understand(and me also). and he's a microsoft freak.

ok i'm really stuck right now. Comodo won't start anymore.
I really need a software solution to this problem.
Can anyone suggest anything?
Thnx in advance

found it again myself :P
it's called look n stop lite for anyone who needs to know.
Here you get some more settings i like.

comodo has a lot of other settings though.
it's a question of what you need in a firewall.
