hey guys, got a question:

i have a WD 2500 portable hd, i put my game on there. im trying to copy over more games from another hd, but the iso file is too large. i think its a problem with the hd being a FAT 32, so im trying to convert it to NTFS. when i go to the command prompt to try to convert, it says "you have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode".

does anyone know what this means or how to correct the problem? thanks a bunches ahead of time!

cohen, the cmd convert command prevents you needing to format, its just a straight up convert no deleting involved :)

To the OP, its best to google around for that problem:)

To me that error sounds like permissions access, are you attempting this inside an admin account?

i got guys, thanks for the replies! i went to the start search box, typed "cmd" then when the icon came up, i just right clicked and opened as an administrator.

now im having a problem converting due to the "files" being dirty or something. so im error checking the drive, anyone know what "dirty" files are and where to locate them and fix the issue?
