I have a software prog which will alow me to see the notation of any music I have but the prob is all my files are in mp3 format and the prog needs em to be in midi file format..........I have looked for converters but to no avail so far....anyone help me please?

I don't think its possible... Midi files (I think) are like a text file that the computer can play, but mp3 is sort of a raw sound file and there is isn't a way for the computer to "write down" the music notes from the sound... This is all speculation, I'm not quite sure.

EDIT: Ok, they do exist... google "mp3 to midi converter" and there'll be some free trials you can try.

I have a prog called notation2 which is supposed to turn any music on audio cds or any music I have on my pc into written notation so I can then print it off to play it on my piano....am I making any sense here....lol.

Well, for the program to read the audio file it has a be converted to midi (what you said)... so what is it that you are saying?

EDIT: By the way, why did you just start a whole new thread about this? Right here is the place for it.
