My cousin sent me his cd. So I ripped it to my windows media player.
Then I tried to burn it to a blank disk.I wouldnt work in a cd player si I put the disk into my pc and it asked me how I wanted to play the audio files.
So my question is how do I convert "audio files" so I can burn them to a blank cd and they will play in a regular cd player?
I have windows vista so i will be using windows media player.

Thanks

This topic would be agianst the forums rules. Since you admitted you do not own the cd, but just want to copy it. That's illegal! Sorry.

Even if its my cousins and he gave me permission?
He wants me to burn some copies and pass them out in my town.

it doesnt matter if they are your cousins. The cd will be copywright protected so you dont have permission to copy the cd as a result copying the cd is illegal and in turn that means we cant help you sorry.

Its not against the law to burn music cds as long as you have the artists permission to copy without the intent to sell paratwa which he said he did in the first post.

When you ripped the files in WMP could you play them? If so use the program http://www.burnworld.com/burnoncddvd/ to make an audio cd. Hope that helps!

He never said his cousin was signed to a record label, therefore, the rights to the music belong to his cousin.

They are not signed to a label. That is why I thought they had all rights to the music to do with it what they please. So I figured them telling me to burn it and pass it out made it legal. They made the cd in there private recording studio.
Thanks again ukulele_ninja once again you have helped me out.

Ok, I did not realize your cousin is the actual artist, you just said he sent you a cd to copy. Stupid me for thinking he sent you a store bought cd to copy.

One of the best cd copy software's out is cdclone. http://www.slysoft.com/en/ You can download a trial of it and use it for 30 days. It makes an exact copy of the cd.
