Cool and Quiet

It won't overheat as long as you have it connected to motherboard, so it can control fan speed on its own OR if you have a custom cooler. Both ways will work, it just slows your fans down for more quiet.

I just built my gaming computer and its fast but would it be faster if I disabled the cool and quiet feature in the Bios?
No, as soon as it's needed, in the blink of an eye it will revert to original clock speed and as Bodaggit said

i think so
Please be more positive

seriously, whats with all the new ppl and retarded responses?

anyways- disableing cool and quiet wont speed up you computer because once you start to do anything, it automatically brings the cpu to regular speed. and 36-41 degrees is normal temps

On any modern CPU it is worth leaving Cool n' Quiet or Speed Step active. The CPUs are designed to function this way and you will typically run the system cooler and much more energy efficiently. You will rarely if ever notice a gain in gaming performance by turning off these functions. Also, any modern OS is also designed to work with the CPU in this regard.

Gentlemen, despite the rather pointless replies, some civility is warranted.
