well, i am having some major trouble with the cool 'n quiet on my gigabyte motherboard. i had to jump the cmos jumpers and now whenever i try to disable cool n' quiet, it says i disabled it but i can't control my fan and the voltage isn't what i set it to be (which means it is still on). the fan noticeably changes speeds on its own (another indicator it is still on, in case you don't believe me). i have tried resetting the cmos about a thousands times by both jumping the jumpers and taking the battery out (and both at the same time) and have updated my bios to the latest version. still no dice. HELP!
EDIT: if it helps, i forgot to uninstall the dual core optimizer for my old amd athlon 64 x2 before swapping. windows 7 automatically installed the new drivers with that installed. i uninstalled of course after the reboot from the new drivers being installed.
