Ok so when i get back to australia i think i might get one of these.

has anyone had any experiences with one?

i like the coolermaster cases. i currently have a 532.

this one has like 8 places for fans. 3 and the front 2 of the side, 2 on the top and 1 at the back.

looks pretty good for the price.

any thoughts?
thanks

also i have a zalman 9700, would having fans on the top and side stuff up its airflow at all?

It looks like a really good case, I had looked at it before. It has very good reviews too so I guess it'd be a good buy. The one thing that would worry me is the one best feature of it. All the fans. It might be just me, but I think having all those fans is not going to give you the best airflow. As "didyouknowthat" and "imsati" (I think :P) would say, the best airflow is just front intake and rear exhaust. Adding any more positions could disrupt airflow at different rates depending on the position and speed of fan of course.

But it's up to you. You can for example try different fan positions and see which one works the best :)

im not actually planning to put any top or side fans on it i would like 3 blue led fans at the front though.

but if theres only 1 fan at the back and 3 in the front then it wont be too good will it? like thats a lot of intake and not much exhaust haha

It will be fine. The exhaust fan will move the air either way.

sexy case yes!

that would look even better modded and put a window on the side :)

do you reckon having a fan on the side, on the lower position, would be ok?
it would keep the gpu cooler and would act a little bit as an exhaust fan

Yes I was checking out that case for awhile. If you want another fan in front you'll have to buy another Hd cage or you can rig up something with the wire ties up front as some one suggested in the review .It only comes with 2 fans where as the 690 comes with 3 so I was torn between them.I think the the nicest feature about is the if you pull up a picture you can see it has open cage rack so if you run sli/crossfire you can place the newer larger cards in it without interfering with the rack it should go between them.Room for growth I think. If you buy extra fans it will cost you probably as much as some of the other cases than come with a lot of fans.I think the open cage is the best selling point of it

can you explain furthere about the "if you want another front fan"?

like is there only room for 1 or something?

If you pull up the pictures and from reviews(I read them all as I have no life..LOL) The fans on the fron in that model are held by a HDD cage.It comes with 1 so youll have fan allready up front. If you want another fan in front you will have to purchase another cage or use some cable ties to tie one up front above the bottom front fan as someone posted they improvised .

Here is a pic:

ok well i reckon i wont need any more then one anyway haha.
although 2 would be nice as i have a spare blue led one anyway. ill try and hook one up with cable ties when i get it haha

so is there any other places that would be good to have a fan without interupting the airflow too much? like on the side to get the air away from the gpu?

If I were to add fans to it I guess an extra up front can't really put in a 3rd fan there due to need to save upper 3 slots for optical drive.I would put 1 on the side and 2 up top.Would give you 3 intake fans and 3 output fans for even air movement.Maybe someone else could chime in with some ideas. An upper side fan might interfere with a big HSf for your cpu so I am not sure.I think the 590 is just a tad smaller than the 690. So it might fit though.

yeah i like the 690... i was gonna get one before i decided on my current case.
but the 590 is looking good haha.

im thinking ill have 2 intake at the front.
1 on the side, not where the HSF is as yes i reckon it would interfere.
and a top one? would that work out alright? any ideas people?
haha

Yep that is the one I was kinda leaning toward to due to its more solid construction over the 590 but I am still not 100 % though ,hehe.

haha well it certainly looks a lot more solid yeah.

i like it.

still... its a while till i get back to australia and get one haha.
