CoolerMaster Cosmos Heating Issue Help!

Hello All, I have just recently built and i7 system, with using a coolermaster cosmos case. And I currently have a heating issue, the problem is that when i close the panel the computer gets amazingly hot inside, but when I leave the side panel open it stays pretty cool at Cpu -32c and gpu at 41C. I was thinking maybe i have put the fans in the wrong way, or maybe the cosmos side panel is just really thick and keeps the hot inside.

And I also has some questions about cable management, i tried wiring them psu wires behind the other side, but the side panel on the other side has way too much foam, which makes the side panel not close when they wires are there.

So guys can you please help me out on the heating issue, and on cable management, maybe some other ideas and mods you guys can suggest. I highly appreciate it.

P.S. Bomber Please Dont Hate On My Rosewill 950 Watt Power Supply. LOL

How the heck did you get a rosewill power supply in russia?Newegg only ships usa/china/canadaXD

But- How many fans are in that case? You should basically have the fans so that front are intake, rear are exhaust, bottom intake, side intake, top exhaust(if your case has side or top fans that is). Also...which way is that heatsink facing? It should be blowing towards the rear of the case, from what it looks like here it is blowing towards the front.

Secondly...invest in some zip ties for gods sake, those help cable management immensely. Whats with all the unsleeved power connectors, are those converters or just unsleeved ends of the psu?

hey, i was born in moscow, but currently live in miami. Um i have 2 top fans, one fan in the back and one all the way at the bottom, i dont know why its even there lol.

So you want me to flip the thermaltake v1 around so it will be blowing towards the back of the case right?

and and ideas on mods? maybe a side window? or maybe more fans?

^^You should have got a modular psu with that cable management, but on topic here-
Flip to rear
Rear/Top Fan exhaust
Front/side/Bottom intake
Cable ties for cable management
And lastly- Fix your location:P

Hey, I actually bought a dremel yesturday from lowes, and i was wondering if you can give me some tip on how to make a clear window. And where I can localy find some plexi glass or something similar.

Thanks Bomber.

Ps. I used to have a modular one but every wire was still in use.

Whats with all the unsleeved wires? You shouldnt need to use adapters to hook stuff up. Check out frozencpu and performance pc's websites, they sell window kits;)

Your CPU cooler is backwards for one thing. It should be sucking in air from the front and blowing it out the exhaust fan behind it. You have it the other way around, so that it is starved for air. Zip ties, or a modular PSU would help. When putting together a high end system that is going to use more cables you want to be able to get rid of the ones that aren't used.

Hey, the unsleeved wires are coming from the front fant controller, hooked up to every fan in the case.

If I were you, I would remove the foam from the side panel so you can get those wires out of the inside of the case. Maybe only where you need to.?

That will help tremendously.

Or, you could try removing the bottom two hard drive sleds and tuck some
of the wires in there.

Good idea, iam going to try to remove the foam insert on the right side panel, and will tuck the wires from behing right into the hard drive cages. So you wont be able to see them at all.

And is it hard to make a window, i have a dremel.

Cable management is pretty easy you just have to be in the right mind set when your doing it. You can get cable sleeves at newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16899109002. You will not won't to get a side window until you get those wires all cleaned up or it will drive you crazy every time you look inside it. When I first built my computer my wires where a mess but with 2 hours some cable tie and scotch tape you be surprised what you can do. Now when I look in my computer its all neat and pretty looking now I just got to get me some more lights.
