Cooling situation

Hi,
I just purchased a computer from Ebay. Maybe not the best idea, but oh well. Anywho, it came with a new 64bit processor, dual linked Nvidia 7800 GT video cards, Asus A8?-SLI motherboard, and three westinghouse 250 gig harddrives; all in a very generic case with only one fan in the back and it is overheating. Some of the temps are running at over 100 C. My hobby is video editing so I wanted a PC that could handle the graphics and media.
Here is the question. Is this something that can be fixed with a new case with more fans? If so, could you give me an example of a good, reasonably priced case. I was thinking of Thermaltake case, such as one of their full sized cases. If you have a medium sized case with several fans and good cooling please let me know.
Thanks

The best case, and it appears you need it, for cooling is in my opinion the Aspire X Navigator. Has more features than any of the others. It is not a quiet case with all the fans and the lights are quite bright.
My temps right now are 28 C for Prescott cpu and 29Cfor hdd, which is excellent.

Check out the features http://aspireusa.net/default.php

I would reccomend a case with plenty of fan holes, and a good set of fans.
The thermaltake Soprano comes with good fans, and they are pretty quiet.

Your Motherboard is probably a A8N-SLI.

And if you wanted a full size Thermaltake, then my favorite is the Kandalf (Im getting it as a next case)

100C?! Ye gods, that's no good at all. Either your heatsink is the size of a postage stamp, or the fan is dead, or there's no thermal paste in there. I wouldn't even switch it on until CPU cooling's addressed.
Westinghouse makes hard drives now?!

Depending on how comfortable you are with it, you might try water cooling? If you do try it tho, make sure you check all the connections many times, and get a good, reliable system.

I wouldnt recommend water cooling, i would go with a nice heatsink/fan, and plenty of 120mm case fans.

I agree totally with this. You can get the same results with good air with half the cost, hastle, and clutter in your case.
