cooling!!

A cooling pad would be a good idea, but also consider where you're running it. Using it on shaggy carpet, for example, can block the airflow coming into a laptop. Even a wooden board under the laptop may help in this case.

Do your best to keep the fan intake and outake clear of anything. What I used to do when I had it on the floor was to put the laptop on a big thick book. It raises the laptop off the ground, but it's positioned so that the intake and outake are not blocked at all (the fan was in the corner for me, so easy to do).

Yea try to keep your labtop off the floor like on a desk or table if possible, and maybe trying cleaning out the inside dust build up was bad in my labtop and it caused it to over heat =( ... but other then that maybe turn down the temperature in your house or keep it in your coldest room ive heard that works too =p
