Copyright protection is a PITA...

I just got the Foo Fighters new album and I went to burn it to my music hard drive and it took me almost 30 minutes to get around the copyright stuff. I couldn't use Windows Media player to do it either. I had to use something that came on the CD. Also it made me record at 128Kbps (no options on that or other things). What a pain in the A$$.

You could always try recording directly from your sound card, i.e. start playing the track and record the line-out data. It may be slow but whatever tool you use you will be able to customise the settings.

tried eac on stupidly slow settings? or even doing a dump via alcohol120/blindwrite hehe... not the same but gets the job done ... but your Plexy should be able to plough through almost any audio protection available (im guessing its CDS300?)

aclohol 120% does stuff like that fine
yes but you wont be getting mp3s or what not.. furthermore, the ability to complete the task is dependent on the burner you've got

tried alcohol 120% only to get the attached error message.
1. what protection scheme are you trying to deal with?
2. what version of a120?
3. do realize a120 is a non-ideal solution to this
4. what make, model and firmware rev do you have. if you dont know how to find out, have a look at QUESTIONS 101.
