Cords for a home printer.

Hi Everyone:

I need a new printer. I brought it along with the Dell computer about 5 years ago. I can get a great deal on a new H-P printer but I'm not sure if the two cords are the same. Would I be able to use a H-P printer on a Del computer using the same cords. Are the cords standard sized on all home printers or do they vary according the manufacturer?

All new printers require a USB (small flat) cable to print. All older printers used the parallel cable (bigger, rounder). As long as its USB it will work.
