Core 2 Duo E4400 or E6320 , Not overclocking

Hey ok I got my new motherboard now it's time to buy a CPU, right now I can get the E4400 or I can get the E6320 but I'll have to wait until my next paycheck (just short of the price tag).

But my question is , 1: is the 800 FSB much slower then the 1066MHz? and 2: The 2mb vs 4mb L2 Cache, is there a big change in speed?

The E4400 is faster then the 6320 and I don't want to over clock. So which should I buy? I'm a big gamer and will use this PC mostly for that reason.

Thanks for any help.

The e6320 is faster than the e4400. The Higher Fsb on the e6320 gives about 20-30% more memory bandwidth and the 4mb L2 cache can tranlate into more speed. (not always however) They are both great chips so get whichever you can afford :)

Well thanks guys for your help, I think am going to go with the 4400, I'm upgrading from an old 2.4 Ghz 478 P4 so I guess even the 4400 will be a big leap for me?

Thanks

Oh yeah, e4400 can pulverize your ol' P4. Plus the E4400 is a great overclocker, so if you ever get into that, you can just jump right in. Good luck!

you can turn an e4300 into an e6300...
the e6320 has 2 mbs extra cache however. if u want the extra 2 cache, or dont feel like changing the fsb and multipliers of your e4400 (overclocking) get the e6320. however, its like 50 dollars more.

edit: you chose the e4400? if you plan on overclocking at all, id prolly recomend the e4300.
