Core 2 Duo E8400 or Core 2 Quad Q6600

Intel's 3.0GHz dual core E8400 vs their 2.4GHz quad core Q6600. Which is better for me?

At most, I will be using my computer to run some graphic design software (2D & 3D), some Adobe software, internet browsing, watching videos, and a bit of PC gaming.
 
there have been many threads like this.

but for what you are wanting to do i have to say the q6600 would definately be the right one.
 
If you do alot of design and multitasking, then get the quad core. If you were a gamer, then the E8400 would be the way to go.
 
yeah thats sorta along the lines of what i was thinking. and he only said a bit of gaming.

(not challenging you, just agreeing haha)
