i can't find it anywhere, if only newegg or tigerdirect... or zipzoomfly or someone carried it! can anyone find it at any of these retailers? i'm only really familiar with newegg... i mean who isn't their site is so organized...
thanks in advance, im looking for a link if possible.

There are two other places I know of where you can order them but only remember the name of one (the other is on my desktop). You can get order it at zipzoomfly which has the cheapest prices I have seen.

Its not there because it isn't suposed to be out in retail yet... it'll probably arive august 7th, way above MSRP, get sold out, then come back at a lower price later.

haha who in their right mind uses a high end cpu with a stock heatsink... i mean to say that even if it came with one, i wouldn't be using it.
weird... cuz i'd say the e6400 would perform around an FX-62 would it not?
anyone own one yet? im wondering how they overclock...

They overclock freakishly well. And stock heatsinks aren't always that bad, especially since conroe uses less volts so they run cooler. Therefore you don't need extreme cooling.

Fade, my X6800 kills my old FX-62
The e6600 kills the fx-62, and the e6400 is pretty much neck and neck like fade said, but the fx-62 barely has the advantage.

its okay, but yeah, i was just stating to him that the conroe IS the better choice (and i think at $350~ for the E6600 is MUCH better than $999~ for the FX-62)

That's kind of weird, the Core 2 Extreme X6800 was on Newegg earlier:
