I agree. The Intel i7 920 is an extremely powerful processor and now Intel is looking at a six-core i7 quality processor. It seems hardware is getting miles ahead of software presently.
The processing power of my Phenom II 940 Quad-Core processor amazes me. I love being able to run Flight Simulator X at high quality graphic settings.

I agree....quad-cores are still not properly used even 20% of the time still and now we have a 6 core 
Though I will admit my quad has been the best buy since...its gonna last me another year or so before becoming low-end
Least F@H people can jerk off to their 6 core scores and laugh at the I7 920 users.

Don't trust fudzilla, they were the first people to say the 960 was a 6 core and the rest of the second rate news sites followed suit. The 960 should be a 32nm quad core as originally stated by intel

Actually intel is working on the X7560, an octo-core based on nehalem architecture with 16 threads at 2.26ghz.
You know whats funny is someday our kids are gonna look back at us and laugh that a hexcore with 12 threads is amazing. By then they'll have like 32 core cpu's with 128 threads with a gig of cache or something insane like that who knows.

Wikipedia, so not 100% fullproof but most of the time it's correct.
It also says it will be for socket LGA 1567, so much for people thinking that 1366 futureproof. Intel changes sockets more than a drunk drinks a beer.
