Core i7 - Q6600 price drop?

Hey people,

do you think that Intels current 65nm Quad cores such as the Q6600 or Q6700 will go down in price alot when they release the Core i7?

i just had a quick look on google and apparently the i7 is going to be released Monday, November 17, 2008?i was seeing mixed dates from diffrent sites so i dunno.

if they go down enough soon i might just purchase the Q6700.

I really dont think they will. I havent seen a newer generation cause on older generation to drop in price. Besides, Intel has no competition since AMD is far behind. THey have no reason to lower price .
