i havent checked my temperatures in a long time and today when i opened smartfan i noticed my system is idling at 25C CPU temp, but 47C on core1 and core2. what could cause the huge difference between them? should i write this off as an error in the software or look into it further?

all of this is taking place on the system in my sig

IDLE TEMPS
system 43C
CPU 25C
Core1 47C
core2 47C

Everest does the same thing with my Q6700. I just go by the core temps, because the CPU temp isn't accurate (unless I really am idling at 12 C :P) .

then i guess the next step is for me to figure out WHY THE HELL im idling at such high temperatures with an aftermarket cooler. :P

maybe 3ghz is a bit much for this CPU after all.
