Corrupt folder

I put on my external hard drive today, when i looked inside it had about 15 corrupt folders, i cant click to get in them and i cant even delete them.

I tried hiding them but when i click "hidden" and "ok" nothing happens and the properties go back to normal

What to do people?
 
You can format it if you want, but some malware might be blocking your access. Run hijack this and have the guys here help you, if you post the log. Maybe run adaware and spybot. Or run a bart CD(boot up on it) and delete the desired folders. Or first, go into processes and tun of any process that is not need.....also you can try to start in safe mode, that'll sometimes keep the malware from running, and the folders will be free from the protection.
 
Often these corrupted files can be recovered by plugging the drive into your system internally via a regular IDE cable and running chkdsk.
