Hey everyone, Im having problems installing games on my computer. It always gives me an error saying something like `cant create such and such a file, hard drive corrupt` so I decided to reformat and get this.. I cant!! It gives me an error when I start booting from the windows CD (im currently on XP but want to reformat and install Vista) saying I have a software or hardware problem.. so I`m kind of stuck here.. anyone have a clue on what to do from here? I have two hard drives.. I was thinking maybe removing the C: and replacing it with the D: and installing the OS on it as if it was new but I dont know if that would solve the problem.. anyways, any pointers are welcome! Thanks!

What error do you get when booting to the XP CD?

If you can at least get to the first page of the XP CD boot, press R to begin the recovery manager and type "chkdsk /p" (without quotes) and see what happens.

I dont even have the xp cd anymore :s... I wanted to install vista.. is there something similar to do with the vista installation?
