Corrupt PS2 Data

I got corrupted data in my ProStreet game last summer. Once the "Save Successful" message went away, I shut the PS2 off. I came back later and it said the data was corrupted. Could it be the game getting scratched from my PS2 (my PS2 is old and does scratch discs)? Could it be the heat (it was a really hot summer day) that messed it up?

If it is really corrupt, do you guys think that this place will help me? www.werecoverdata.com

I have this site adviser thing for firefox (WOT) and it is telling me not to trust that site :|
Sorry I am of no more use, I know nothing about the PS2.
 
Either way, it looks like its mostly for hard drives, not console memory cards. I imagine its also extreme spendy.

I had my ps2 data corrupted and i know the feeling, its heartbreaking. But youre just kinda out of luck. I searched pretty thoroughly (a year or two ago) about recovering data and didnt find anything. And recovery services are typically pretty spendy and not worth it for game saves.
