Corsair XMS problems

I have a single stick of corsair XMS (512 Mb)... its revision is XMS3208v1.2.
i have had to remove this stick from my system cos i keep getting memory errors at stock speeds and voltages... if i want to continue using it i have to drop the speed down to 300 MHz.
does anybody know of any issues running this ram on the equipment i'm running (listed below)
also, is anybody running it at non-standard settings to overcome any issues? i've tried upping the voltage on it to 2.8 (max allowed by motherboard) and slackening the timings (which does nullify the point of this ram) all to no avail.
Many thanks for any helpful replies

send it back to corsair they have a lifetime warranty on the ram when it's used with a voltage of 2.9v or less I believe.

Is it the RAM that's failing or the cpu?

had a sempron 3100 in there with memory problems.... then got a A64 3700.... problem persisted, even after my old mobo failed and i replaced it.... took out the corsair memory put some old value ram in there and it works fine.... gonna send the ram back next week

Ah fair enough ... just a question: is it failing at stock speeds or at the overclocked speeds?

it fails at stock speed... i have to run at 300 MHz in order to get it work in a stable manner.... quite frustrating really
