cost?

In what setting??
Decent gaming machine probably looking at $800 (assume you are in US) if you build it yourself
 
That depends on whether or not you want to max out every game or just get to reasonable frame rates. I would guess that $800 should get you a decent gaming pc. I'm Sure that you can get by with lower than that and still have fairly good frame rates.
 
i just want something that can run every game at a good frame rate for the next 2 years, untill i go to uni. it doesnt need to max out on graphics, just be good enough to run new game like assasins creed 2.
im in the UK, im thinking about spending around £500, maybe a bit more. are prices any different in the UK?
i dont need to buy a monitor/ keyboard etc.

£600 - 650 buying simlar component for $800 in US

thanks, but i cant find the ATI 5770 1GB on ebuyer.com, do you know where else i can get it from?
i think il go with that setup, its right in my budget range and is alot better than my current pc.

EDIT: found it but its no longer for sale? and i cant find it anywhere else. can you recomend another one?
