nope, no problems with voltage cause you flip the switch on the power supply to change 110 or 220, everything internal is 12v or 5v, but you will have to reset the region on the drive since it is probably a different region right now (states is 1, europe is 2)

it's supposed to cut down on piracy somehow, I guess it keeps cheaper foreign stuff from being sold here, but of course there's region-free disks so it's basically pointless, oh and there's programs that will make the switch without actually making the counter go down, I think one is anydvd, but I don't use any programs for that

Realistically, I guess you probably wouldn't see anyone needing to change the region that many times anyway.

yeah, I don't even use things like anydvd and I've never changed mine since I first set it up

You wouldn't really need an app such as AnyDVD unless you were trying to overcome a recent form of encryption such as ArCcos with puppetlock. That could of course be overcome with DVD Decrypter and the latest PSL2 files but if you're challenged in those areas then AnyDVD is not a bad choice.

I've had dvd decrypter for a long time, I just found out a couple days ago that's it's actually illegal now so I think I'll back it up, but it's BS that anydvd is still legal where decrypter isn't
