could I use a intel celeron D 335 for gaming?

You can use any CPU for gaming, I use an Athlon 2400+

Some will just be a lot better than others, at the moment the Core 2 Duo's are the best for pretty much everything.

You can use it, but it will perform poorly with the newer games. Even when paired with a high end video card, it will perform very poorly.

Cause my p2 466MHz 256mb RAM beformed better on cs better then my 1.3 GHz 256 mb RAM ad duron.

Depends how much garbage is on it.

I have an AMD 3000+ downstairs, that runs decently... but has so much trash on it like I can't believe. It's what I get for letting other people use it. Then they won't let me clean it up, becuase it's "their stuff".
But anyway.
It's topping off at around 85 processes running.

I have this computer here, which seems to run everything WAY faster, opens stuff instantly.
Except, it's only an AMD 1800+
What's different?
This computer barely has anything on it.
Just what it needs to run, and a few extras.
