could it be the problem?

i have an 80gb hard drive and i have about 5gb of space left and recently my interent and bf2 has been running dramatically slower. Bf2 is laggy quite a while after the server has been loaded and avant browser is really slow. could this lack of space be the problem and i dont know wat kind of hard drive to get

If it is your only hard drive, and you don't have much ram... possibly... Although most page files aren't 5gb long, so that shouldn't be the problem... The other thing is if your drive is really fragmented, it could cause slowdowns... Have you defragged your drive lately?

i just finished defragging it and the internet does seem faster but i havent tried bf2 yet. is defrag supposed to clear space or increase performance?
