Could My Lack Of Performance Be A bios Issue?

judging by your specs, i'd say it could be your power supply. a 430 watt is nowhere enough to run that hardware. my power supply will only just powerful enough and it s a 580w. id say get a 580-650 watt and see how things go. i wouldn't have said your BIOS will have anything to do with your lack of performance, your BIOS only tells hardware to start up and tell them what speed to run at.

That powersupply is powerful enough to power that system (which isn't too power hungry). What type of performance are we speaking of here? Looking at the specs its by no means a very powerful gaming rig. The CPU for one is pretty slow. What's your 3dmarks score?
 
mine is only a x2 4400 @ 2.53GHz and it pretty fast, only thing i cant do is play crysis on max with sli enabled.
 
the pc is slow..infact it's slower than my old p3 system..and yes its clean..no viruses or spyware..defragged weekly..heres the 3dmark score
