Could someone tell me about Expired Security Certificates

I am not sure if this should be on this thread so if not could someone please move it.
This morning i ordered a few bits off the UK Disneystore website. I went through the payment process, verified by Visa and then after this it took my back to the Disney website receipt screen but i got a box pop up with the the following message on the screen " the security certificate has expired or is not yet valid, do you want to proceed" (i clicked view certificates and the expiry date was 2010)

Well i clicked yes proceed but now i am not so sure that i should have, I have ordered from the Disney website before and never had a problem.
What i am more confused about is that it was saying the cerfiticate was expired or not yet valid but once i had clicked the yes proceed button i checked the certificate of the receipt page and the expiry is 2011.

I don't know much about this sort of thing as it has never happened to me before but after googling i am now a bit worried.
Will it be ok?
 
Ive bought from sites in the past with expired certificate. On the other hand i know it was a safe site to do business with because ive done so many times in the past. Its important to look though. example is 'https'.

if it would have been a site im not familiar with i would have passed it up.
 
Thanks for that. I have ordered from them many times in the past and i have never had a problem before.
I still cant get my head round that it was telling me the page i was trying to view (disney receipt page, order confirmation page) security certificate had expired but once i had clicked yes proceed and checked the page i was on(receipt page) the certificate expires in 2011. Very strange!
 
Is your system date and time correct? If its not, then thats why you are getting that message.
 
Yeah i checked that and the time and date are fine. I'm a bit baffled by it really (and slightly nervous) as i have never had this happen before.
I am glad the website was Disney and one i have used lots of times before or i would be panicing now.
 
on the back of your credit card should have the link to the site if your that nervous. You can check all the charges and who. Or you can call then sleep tonight.

I used my debit card (dont have a credit card) but i have internet banking and i can check my account at any time.
I have checked since i made the order on the Disney website and that is the only money that has been taken from my available/pending balance and for the correct amount.
I am sure it will be fine as i am pretty sure the order had already gone through as i could see my order number on the page under the pop up box which appeared saying about the expired certificate.
