Could this be a PSU problem?

Well the other day i downloaded 3dmark03 (its a program that test how good ur cpu / video card is) because i wanted to see how much better my new computer is than my old one . well i have a problem when i try to run it as soon as it gets to a the fleet of planes appear and one blows up my computer just restarts.

The reason I am posting this is the powersupply section is because I read some where that maybe my video card (new XFX Nvidia Geforce 6600gt agp) might be needing more voltage than my PSU can put out so when PSU trys to do it and maxes out it restarts. Could this be the problem? anyone else maybe have a reason / sulotion?

it could be, the XFX 6600GT is the highest power consumer of all the 6600GT variants. I'd lean more towards a driver/application issue becasue 3dmark puts the card under a heavy load right away

wat u mean driver/application? updates for driver? the 6600gt agp just came out like last week no updates

Start up a program that monitors your voltages (i.e., ASUS Probe or MBM5 etc) and have it record the voltages .. when the machine restarts you can have a look at the trend.

You'd be surprised. Driver support for the 6600s have been around for a loooooooong time
