Couldnt load movie file??

I am trying to play a computer game and when I try to start it up the screen goes black and a little error comes up saying "ERROR: Couldn't load the movie file (Publish.avi)
I've been told to download a DivX player, but I did, and still no luck... I'm on a Windows 2001/2002 somewhere around there...
Please speak DUMB because I'm not good at computers...

It could be the age of the game, I can't find anything about it only the magazine.
 
is that an educational game? i found something on it, but it says it supports 95, 98, and ME, so maybe your operating system? what system do you run on now?

and there were a couple other ones. is that the whole name? or was there something else to that name?
