would you rather buy a xbox 360 or buy 360 xboxes?

Lol, I think I'll go with the 360 xboxes, then sell them onto a fool for double price, then (heres the best bit) Upgrade my comp to fx dual core series, and a 7800 geforce and 2gb ram and lots of pretty neon tubes.:D

Too bad an opteron can be clocked to FX speeds and be basically the exact same processor;)

ummm i'm sorry, am I the only one who thinks XBOX360 will initial be more powerful than ANY desktop out there currently?

They way i see it, 360 has a three core PowerPc CPU running at 3.2ghz. The most cores avalible for a PC is two correct?

The GPU is based on ATI's future video card not out yet...so its definatly the most powerful out currently.

I guess you could potential make an argument out of an SLI or Crossfire setup...but theres limited support for taking advantage of this.

Now, seeing xbox360 is primarily a GAMING machicne with every console having the exact specfication, developers will be able to produce, (at least i think) visually more stunning games than a PC (currently). And this is comparing it to a high end computer.

A good example of this is the fact that Call of Duty 2 on both PC and 360 look EXACTLY the same (if the computer is a high end computer) and the 360's version runs with no hiccups what so ever. This is a launch title we are talking about....most likely, only one core was used effectivly. Wait a year and we are probably going to see a game a PC (once again unless its a VERY high end PC) could NEVER touch.

This is just what i think, of course, through upgrades, PCs will once again be on top....but not without the purchase of a $600 video card. Just about how much i paid for all my xbox360 current purchases. Fair trade off in my mind.

so whos gonna camp for their xbox360? i did camp for the ps2 but not for xbox360. i only camped for 4 hours though.

I have one being shipped to me now, but i'm camping to sell one on ebay haha. I could prob. pull in double from that.

PC's are still on top IMO, after seeing the graphics on the XBOX360, i must say PC looks better.

I'm not a big fan of xbox. It will probably cost too much once it came out. 2. I rather get ps3: I'm a big fan of MGS stuff I got bored at halo. 3. I rather get an psp too. :)

some rich people in japan or europe would probley buy it.
Exactly. The 360 isnt released til the 2nd December, so if they have a chance of getting one early, or getting at all for that matter, then they will pay crazy prices

bill gates handed out the xbox360 to the first person in line..... and that person camped for 3 days for the xbox360? lol i wouldnt do that for a ps2 at launch.

People were camping outside my local 24-hour walmart for about 2 days before the release. Wal-mart only had 50 360's for maybe 200 people in line.

PC's are way better than any console and you can also argue that consoles are PC's, so how can it be better than itself??

Consoles arent just for gaming anymore. Microsoft has advertised that the xbox 360 isnt only a gaming machine anymore but can be a platform to do businiss(sp?). on xbox live you can now make a site that sells things like t-shirts, saved games, upgrade a game character, or w/e you want.

you said that the xbox has 3GPU's and looks exactly the same as a PC. well then those proceccors must be weak if 1CPU can match 3CPU's so now if you can have that 1CPU thats equal to 3xboxCPU's and make it a triple core so that mean its equal to 9 xbox360 CPU's!!!

to say a console is more powerful than ANY desktop out currently is soo wrong. there probably is a few rich guys who have like $6k+ systems. that have an OC'ed FX-57, those 15kRPM HDD, OC'ed SLI 7800gtx 512mb, 4gb ram thats OC'ed, and a hella alot more expensive stuff thats also OC'ed. a console cant even touch that.

the xbox would probably be worth alot more but they can sell it so cheap becuase they make the money by selling the software.

xbox360 games are worth more. 60bucks a pop. compared to 50bucks or less for PC games. and PC games that have those dvd special editions have those etxtras you'll never get with a console game and are sumtimes the same price as the regular edition.

Thus consoles are not better than PC's

not saying consoles are bad becuase consoles are fun, cheap(compared to PC's),easier to play, and easier to play with other people. which is wat they're made for....
id still rather buy a PS3 than an xbox360. plus i have a PSP so i can link em! ya!!

No viruses, adware, popups. And you're guaranteed the same preformance as any of your friends or other people. Its just nice. I don't think PC's can be compared to platforms.
