You know what really hurts your eyes? Those stupid 3D Movies like Avatar or Alice in Wonderland.

For real. I'm waiting for the day that half the people in the theater have a seizure and 3D movies are banned!

It was even worse the first time I saw Avatar, we had to sit in the very front. I felt like I was going to be sick.

I hear it also makes you fat

Yeah, same with sitting in front of the TV too long...

I guess I would be proof of that:D:rolleyes::(

Rofl

It's been proven that playing FPS games actually improves your eyesight - not that it's detrimental to them.

Not your eyesight, your reflexes.

well, yeah in one way it does.
cuz ur looking everywhere and u need fast reactions ect.
tho, depens that what kind of a graphics that game has, otherwise the only thing thats gonna get :gun: is your eyesight lol.

As I said, its your reflexes that it improves, not your eyesight.

Haha..

or sitting 6 inches away from the screen...

Yeah, for real. I was at the library and the guy renewing my books was like 3 inches from the screen, literally.

Its staring at that monitor for too long that damages your eyes. It's not as bad with the LCD monitors, but the older CRTs are really bad. I know when I was spending A LOT of time in front of the screen, like 5+ hours per day every day, my eyes were hurting, sometimes blurry vision. Now it's all better though.

wait wait wait....those ruin your vision?
now THATS new...
how come?
I didn't say ruin, I said hurts your eyes. If you ever watch a 3D movie you'd notice that you can't really relax since you are constantly trying to keep your eyes focused on whats going on.

I still have never seen it... I'll rent it someday I guess!

It is with general computer usage, if you keep staring at the monitor ( esp if you are very close ) you might have some problems, same with tv i would say but try to stay as far as possible from the monitor/rv then it should be better i guess...
