ok, what do i need if i get this? im not familiar with it. do i have 2 set up a STEAM account? could someone explain 2 me what i have 2 do?

When you buy it retail, you have to install Steam and the Counter-Strike Source. Then you have to make an account and update the game files. And then you're good to go.

If you buy it via Steam, which requires you to have a Steam account and a credit card, you then purchase it and download the game files and you're good to go.

ok, soo when install CS:S, it installs the Steam 2?
If you buy the game at a store and install it via CD/DVD's, then yes, it will automatically install steam.

But if you're buying it online, you have to download steam from www.steampowered.com, setup an account, and then order and download it from there.

If you buy retail you get one game. If you buy from steampowered.com you can get bundles of games... if interested.

They have bundles for retail as well. You can buy a CSS + DoDS combo, or the HL2 combo which also includes CSS and DoDS.

If you only want CSS, then it costs $20 via steam.

I'm not sure, you'd have to check your local game store. I'd assume $30-$50.
