Ok, does this sound right?
I must first find my max. mem. speed & max. cpu speed. I do this by lowering my cpu mult. and increasing my core untill my mem. test becomes unstable, in which case I up the mem. voltage and keep going. Once I've determined my max. mem. speed I set everything back to default. I then lower my ratio and attempt to find my cpu max. speed by upping my core speed once again. I do this untill it becomes unstable at which point I raise my cpu voltage and keep going. Also I know that I must keep my HTT around 1000Mhz.
My questions:
Why do I need to keep my HTT around 1000Mhz and what happens if it's above or below?
How do I know how much voltage is too much for my mem? I know that for my cpu I can determine this by watching my temps.
I use PCProbe, one of the items for temp. monitring is mobo. Which part of the mobo. is it monitoring?
Everytime I increase something, I should run a test to determine if it's stable. For how long? I've read I should run Memtest when testing my memory. But that runs for 16 hours. Do I really need to run a test for 16 hours every time I incease something by 5Mhz?
Thanks in advance!
