CPU - 3.3 ghz or not?

Eh I still dont get it the molex connector that coems out of my psu looks like the one on your image and the ones that come from 4 pin plugs look the same so how do i plug them in?

Thats a 3 pin. It would be eaiser to hook them up if you just picked out fans with molex connectors or they do have these adaptors. The molex conectors on the P/S are male, the fans have the female end.:D

Like this fan has male and female and you can hook like all 3 fans together and just use 1 molex off the P/S.

ugh ok I decided to take a pic of molex connector coming out of my psu

If this is how its supposed to look like then the molex connector from the fan will fit if its 4 pin?

Right, the one on the left is a male, like on the P/S. The one on the right is female like on the fan. Some fans have male and female so you can chain them together. Like the bottom one in my last post.

ok but I want to get the fan with a 3 pin connector and it doesnt come with a adaptor. It's a really good fan and cheap, how would i plug it in

Well if your using 3 pins fans you would need 3 fan headers on you motherboard. Or get a adaptor like this, plug all 3 fans into it and power them with the 1 molex.

One last question if you dont mind, probably a stupid one too:

If I want a fan to blow instead of suck (lol) then I just flip it over so the side with the sticker is facing the the case?

thanks for all your help

Right, some fans are not the same. It best just to hook one up and make sure which way it blows before mounting them.

This is starting to sound weird:D

Ughh but then I'd need to buy one and maybe it would blow air in the wrong direction so a waste of money :/

I want 2 50x50 intake fans at the side and 1 80x80 at the back

Ill ask the guy in the store where im gonna buy these maybe he'll know

Yes the back one a exhaust and the side ones as intake. Like I said just hook one up and see which way that model fan blows and flip it one way or the other for intake or exhaust.

ohh thats what you meant :p

Ok thanks all

This is the first thing that I'm gonna try to do myself, I usually ask the computer guy at the store where I got my computer built and he does it for me.

I'll have the fans on tuesday if not monday

When you go into to buy you could ask if the have a all 12V. If not the 2 5V will run the fans at a slower RPM. You could use the 2 5V leads for the fans in the side intake since there is 2. Then use one of the 12V for the back exhaust.

Usually the smaller the fan the louder so it would cut down on some noise.

You could look in the motherboard manual and see if the fan header is a 5 or 12V. If its a 12V you could get a cheaper adaptor with only 2 leads for the side fans.

I know all the fan headers on my board are 12V

i checked the manual and says 2 sys fan headers 1 is 4 pin and 5V other is 3 pin 12 V

altho I'm wored because the exhaust fan is far away from the 12 V pin, maybe the cable wont be long enough,

I can try plugging in one of the intake fans to the mobo and the other intake and exhaust into the 12 V adaptor plugs
