 Ok, so heres the deal, I have built 1 computer in my life (back in 2001). The cpu has been great through all these years but now when I bring up CS:Source, it runs pretty bad, getting 40 fps, and lagging alot (Not due to ISP). SO I threw down and withdrew $1,000 from the bank. But before I order the parts I was hoping that some of you could review the products I have chosen. When I built my CPU there was no dual core (That I knew of) or dual processors, ect. Please feel free to post any comments or at least let me know if this stuff is compatible. *NOTE* to flammers, I have done alot of research when selecting these parts and most of them I choose do to recommendations from members on this site. Thanks again all for your continued support!

PS*** I have double checked pc parts for compatibility. And I am sure they all fit correct. But if you all think that I should go w/ a different brand, or think that a different part would work better please post.

Doesn't sound half bad. I am more of a AMD fan myself but from what you have listed it looks pretty decent.

I am also an AMD, I have heard both pro's con's of AMD / INTEL. And I would like to try out Intel this time. thanks for the review!

The video card is the only thing I would say anything about.
Bad reviews...
I'm using the AGP x1600 PRO now...
It's an improvement over the old one I had... but not by much.
I think someone can probably recommend a better card for the same price :p

I would highly recommend a 7900GT, as it is a LOT better than the X1600 and better than the X1950 256MB chupacabra linked to, and you should be able to get one for under $200. I'm not sure which american sites you guys buy your bits from, so make sure the 7900GT looks like this (stock PCB layout), as that can be easily voltmodded to run at 7900GTX speeds and beyond. If you get one that looks a lot different, like this, you can say bye bye to your volt mod.

Other than that, everything's fine

Like other people have said, looks good, but you might wanna pair that Conroe with a better video card.
