Hi, my kids are building a gaming computer, and the CPU they've chosen is an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz 8-core. I think there was some confusion between the 2700x and the 2700. Anyway, the 2700X has a clock speed of 3.7 GHz and the 2700 has 3.2GHz. Is there much difference between the two, or would it not be noticeable? I have no idea, so I thought I'd ask here.
Hmmm, I'm seeing a $65 difference with the lowest prices I can find for each. I understand that the X might be better, but how much better is it really?
$50 difference at amazon. Shouldn't notice much difference. You can get motherboard/cpu bundles at Microcenter if there is one near you Usually 30 bucks off when buying both.
Yeah the pricing for that at micro center is pretty insane currently. Definitely a good play at 160 plus you get a combo discount with motherboard
