CPU cooler backplate

Hi, I just recently bought an asus prime z370-A motherboard. I also got the kraken x62 cooler for my cpu. However, when installing it, the backplate (I’m not sure of the word for them) pegs stick through past the mobo a bit. So when I put the standoffs on, I can pull the up a bit. I’ve read several things that say this is ok and that once I put on the main cooler it will tighten. Then others say that back plate can’t budge. I was just wondering if that bit of movement is ok and if I should proceed?

It should be fine. Only one way to find out for sure. Give it a shot, just keep an eye on temps.
