CPU Cooler

Hey, guys im new to the forums :)
i was wondering if you could give me some advice, i want to buy a CPU cooler but i really dont know where to start. It needs to be socket 775 and be able to cool quad core (i may upgrade). Id prefere a passive one, but im really not fussed.
Any help or thoughts are appreciated! :)

Passive isnt very good because quads will put out alot of heat, i have a xigmatek S1283(rebranded version of it actually, was $5 less than the xigmatek model but same thing) and it keeps my quad decently cool considering how high its clocked. Its pretty quiet, but if its too loud for your tastes you can always slap on another 120mm fan thats quieter.

There are a few passive ones out there that'll handle quad core, assuming you don't overclock. Look into the Scythe Infinity/Ninja, they might come with a fan, but it's fine to run it without one. The Thermalright Ultra 120 is also a good passive heatsink.

no offense but that's a watercooling set for a northbridge.
i'd check out these for passive or very quiet: scythe mugen, scythe ninja, scythe orochi, thermalright ultra 120, tuniq tower.
or a little less expensive: arctic freezer 7 pro.

Yeh man, i think ill take the tuniq tower or thermalright ultra, there supposedly the best air coolers.
Should fit nicely into the Antec 300 :)
