CPU difference

What makes http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115031 so much less than http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115015 . I mean I dont know much about processors, but the less expensive one has a higher GHz, but the more expensive one has higher FBS Mhz.

What changes does different GHz and FBS MHz do? Like other than speed. And which effects speed most. And stuff like that. Thanks

Also, what is L2 Cache do? Basically, what are all the numbers that tell about a processor mean.
 
The E6320 is based off a different technology than the E4500. You may think that "oh they're both Core 2 Duo, it's got to be the same." well then you're wrong.

It's just technology. The newer, the more expensive, but the way Intel has already classified it, it's pretty obvious that the bigger the number, the faster the CPU.

Negative...

It's a common misconception (that marketers love). People will look for the biggest number, and go "I want this one" where as in reality, there's a ton of different variables that make a processor "good" or "bad." (Architecture, FSB Speeds, L2 Cache, etc)
 
I think E4500 is slightly faster than E6320 on average because of the higher clock speed

E4500 does have %15 higher clock speed, and that would make more difference than having 4MB cache

It is not true that higher number means faster speed

E2200 performs better than a stock E4300 on average

E4400 performs slightly better than E6300 on average

E4600 (and maybe E4500) performs better than a stock E6320
 
I learned AFTER I bought, and hence have the e4500. The nice thing about the e4500 however, is it can be overclocked stably to 3ghz, and even further. I'm not sure about the E6320 OC capabilities, and therefore can't compare.

Anyway, the E6320 is the better CPU from what I know, but both will serve you well. I personally don't see the need for anything more than the e4500 unless you're running a top-notch system...I rarely max mine out, and with a slight OC, I will have more than enough power, unless I upgrade other components.
